That’s why she’s trapped in an insane asylum. Plot summary: Juliette cannot be touched, or else she will kill the person touching her. I HIGHLY recommend, especially if you’re into YA. With an emerging love triangle and the urge to discover what each piece of the puzzle means, this book has something for every modern reader. It is fast-paced, easy to follow, and leaves you wanting more with each chapter. This book started an obsession with Young Adult novels. Avery and the Hawthorne brothers embark to solve the puzzle that their Grandfather left them, searching to discover why Avery was made a billionaire overnight. Mysteriously, she is left with the majority of the Hawthorne inheritance by the late Tobias Hawthorne. Plot summary: Avery Grambs is a high school student living paycheck to paycheck when she is suddenly summoned to the Hawthorne House in Texas. The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes (Love you Feyre, but that baby should’ve killed you.)ģ. I know, kind of dark lol but I think that would evoke more emotion and give the story more credibility. SPOILER: I think the whole series would’ve been better if more people died. I LOVED reading about Nesta and Cassian and Nesta’s character development. While this book does not come close to evoking the feelings that A Court of Mist and Fury does, it’s still an amazing read with twists and turns and (of course) steamy romance. She struggles to figure out her feelings toward her mate Cassian while the two of them adventure to halt the dangers of the forging alliance between the human queens that emerged after the war. She trains to be a warrior and tries to recruit other females to join her in the process. Plot summary: As a follow up from the main ACOTAR series, this story follows Nesta and Cassian as Nesta pulls herself out of the slump she endures after becoming High Fae against her will and the pain she experiences during the war. (Warning! Skip this section if you plan to read the first four books of A Court of Thorns and Roses – spoilers in the plot summary and review) I liked Malibu Rising more, probably because I tend to over criticize super popular books but also because it had more twists and turns in the plot.Ĥ. I can’t help but compare Malibu Rising to The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo since that novel by Reid blew up on Tik Tok last year. I loved uncovering more about the family’s past as the story went on and learning about the crazy party that was alluded to throughout the novel. I thought this was a fun, easy read that’s perfect for anyone who is trying to get out of a reading slump. This is a dual perspective story told in a dual timeline where the first part of the story focuses on the family upbringing and the second half is all about the wild Riva party. Their famous father left them when they were young, leaving the children to fend for themselves along with their struggling mother. This book dives into the backstory of her family including her two brothers, Jay and Hud, and her sister Kit. Plot summary: It’s summer 1983 and Nina Riva is hosting her famous party.
